The Sherwood Forest, located in the heart of the festival grounds, is the pulse of the Electric Forest Festival. By day, the Sherwood Forest is a place to relax in one of the many hammocks. At night, the Sherwood Forest comes alive with the extravagant light display.
The festival will take place this coming weekend, from June 28th to July 1st, in Rothbury, Michigan.
The Electric Forest Festival boasts the following lineup for 2012: The String Cheese Incident (3 Shows), Bassnectar, STS9 (2 Shows), Thievery Corporation, Girl Talk, Santigold, Steve Aoki, Ghostland Observatory, Richie Hawtin, Wolfgang Gartner, Major Lazer, The Travelin' McCourys featuring Keller Williams, Dada Life, Big Gigantic, Beats Antique, Papadosio, GRiZ, Nadis Warriors, Paul Basic, R/D, and The Coop.
Another fun feature of the fest is the Gold Rush Water Park, a 60,000 square foot permanent fixture of the Double JJ Resort. The water park will be open 11 a.m. - 7 p.m. daily on Thursday, June 30th through Sunday, July 3. Tickets to the Water Park are $20 per visit, and include a shuttle to and from the venue. Additionally, festival attendees will be able to take part in horseback riding, glow in the dark disc golf, or enjoy beachfrong music at Big Wildcat Lake.
