Rob Buehler’s Be Heady Drum Raffle
|
Rob Buehler and “Be Heady” are raffling off this djembe, signed by over 200 musicians who played Jam Cruise 5, 6, 7, and 9! The money raised will be put towards a goal of planting 1,000,000 trees! |
Rob Buehler has partnered with Trees for the Future with a goal of raising money to plant 1,000,000 trees over the next year. This project was created in memory of Rob’s father Bob, who died in January of 2009. In the year that Rob was born, Bob sold 1,000,000 gallons of gasoline for Texaco. Later in Bob’s life, he sold his business and became the owner of the Red Oak Inn, a sustainable establishment in West Dover, Vermont.
Rob and his “Be Heady” crew have been hitting the festival scene hard this year in an effort to raise money for their project. Most notably, Rob boasts a signed and painted Djembe with over 200 signatures from musicians including Bob Weir, Phil Lesh, Mickey Hart, Warren Haynes, Les Claypool, Lotus, Lettuce, EOTO, Toubab Krewe, Disco Biscuits, Umphrey's McGee, Burning Spear, Toots, ALO, Tea Leaf Green, Galactic, Taylor Hicks, AND MORE!
Since 1989, Trees for the Future has been helping communities around the world plant trees. Through seed distribution, agroforestry training, and country programs, the resource center has worked with people to improve livelihoods and restore degraded lands to sustainable productivity through planting beneficial trees.
